Problem loading mods - installed but not showing in game
Hello.
I am new to Farming Simulator - really enjoying the game but having trouble with loading mods.
I have loaded in a new map - Rattlesnake Valley because I wanted to do some bigger scale farming. After working out that mods need to be loaded into the mods folder under My Games, we got that map to load and I can get in there. BUT cannot get any of the tractors and other machinery I have downloaded to show up in game.
Hoping it is something really simple but would really appreciate a few tips on where I am going wrong with this.
Firstly I downloaded some mods that I was interested in and put them in separate folders within the mods folder after unzipping the contents. These then showed up in the Installed tab of the Mods option of the game and then when I went to start the game, they also showed up on the checklist before entering the map. Made sure all were selected before starting the game but once in game, I could not find them anywhere. Exited and re-started the game but still no change.
Then I thought perhaps a problem with the files so deleted all the downloaded mods from the mods folder and tried to download directly within the mods tab (just picked a John Deere tractor at random) - it downloaded and then showed up in the Installed tab. The game said it needed to restart so I allowed it to do that. When I went to restart the Rattlesnake Valley game, it warmed me that some previously installed mods were no longer available (yes - knew that because I deleted them so I confirmed that. The checklist showed the 2 new things that I downloaded so made sure they were selected and then clicked Start.
Again, when I went in there I could not find the new downloads - just the things that were loaded already in the map.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please cos I am real keen to do some big acres.
