Manually adding historical info from PayPal
To get your older PayPal data into GoDaddy Bookkeeping you'll want to use a CSV file. Here's how to get that file from PayPal:
Sign in to PayPal, and you should be on the Overview page.
Click the radio button next to the date, and change the date to the time period you want. For example: 1/1/2010 to 3/1/2011.
Click the Show button. You should see all of your transactions for that time period. On the right hand side you should see “Print | Download: CSV | More”. Click the CSV. Click the download button. Make a note of where it saves to your hard-drive, then open your Spreadsheet Program and open the download. You might have to split out the fees onto a new line in the spreadsheet.
Once you have the CVS file, go to your "Income" or "Expense" page in GoDaddy Bookkeeping and click the "Import" button at the bottom of the page. Here you'll find guidelines for formatting the file as well as an example file you can download and use as a template.
Please Note:
- We do not have duplicate detection at this time, so you will need to check for duplicates before you import.
- PayPal does not currently support QFX downloads
