Chrome download large files in parts - really
Download of large files fail -- Zip error, download failed. 0 Recommended Answers 3 Replies568 Upvotes
Unable to download large files. These are large video files, some over 200 GB. Even the small ones are 5 GB. When I try to download, it gets stuck on Zipping the file. I left it running overnight and in the morning the error msg was "Zipping failed" or and "Download failed". I pay for 2 TB of storage. This is problematic for me as this is the main function I need google drive for.

Found solution that was suggested by google support person.
Open an incognito window in chrome and login and download from there.
For some reason, the files do not zip when downloading from an incognito window. It proceeds directly to downloading.

it is work using incognito. but if you see the download getting slow or almost stop , just pause for the moment then resume again.

chrome built in download manager is useless. Use an external download manager, or just install Firefox instead. Firefox never interrupted my downloads.
