If you start up your xbox, you should see that some of your worlds from windows 10 are available to download if you use the same account for windows 10 and xbox.

The only way you will be able to get you're worlds from windows to Xbox or vice versa would to be put it as a realm and then download on to the platform you want it on

It should work allowing you to import that file, especially if it doesn't give you an error. Usually after the import it will show up at the very bottom of the list of worlds, and appear to be "greyed" out initially. It will not populate the details (other than the name, I think) until you load the world up.

And to clarify, the edition of Minecraft on the PC is either going to be the Java version or the Bedrock edition. The Xbox One version of Minecraft that is supported is the Bedrock edition. There is an Xbox One Edition of Minecraft that is different, and not compatible with the Bedrock edition on Xbox One or Windows 10; so I would recommend you double check and ensure that you're working in the same "edition".

After importing it should appear in the list, but you might want to try to quit out of the app, restart your computer and try again. I've done that action and have not had any issues with it.
