EA Play (formerly known as Origin Access Basic) is a gaming subscription that provides members with access to a collection of EA’s best-loved series and top titles on console and PC, exclusive in-game challenges and rewards, special members-only content, and access to exclusive trials of upcoming new games from popular franchises and titles.
When will EA Play come to Windows 10 PC for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC members?(1)
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can enjoy EA Play on console now. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC members will receive EA Play on PC via the EA Desktop app at no additional cost starting in December 2020.
Will all Xbox Game Pass plans include EA Play?(1)
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will receive EA Play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows 10 via the EA Desktop app. Xbox Game Pass for PC members will receive EA Play on Windows 10. Xbox Game Pass for Console does not include EA Play.

Will EA Play automatically be available to Xbox Game Pass members?(2)
If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, you’ll automatically receive an entitlement for EA Play on console.
If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass for PC member, you’ll need to create an EA account and link it to your Xbox account, and then download EA’s PC Desktop app to get started on PC. Once complete, you’ll be able to download and play EA Play games through the Xbox Game Pass experience on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and the Xbox app for Windows 10.
Will I need an EA account and EA’s PC Desktop app to play EA Play games on Windows 10?(1)
Yes. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass member, you’ll need to link your Xbox and EA accounts and make sure that you have the EA PC client downloaded to enjoy EA Play titles on PC. The Xbox app on Windows 10 will walk you through the setup process if you don’t already have both. Once you install EA’s PC client and link your accounts, you’ll be able to browse the EA Play catalog and download games via both the Xbox app and EA’s PC Desktop app.
What version of EA Play do Xbox Game Pass members receive—EA Play or EA Play Pro?(1)
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC members receive EA Play. EA Play Pro is only available through EA’s PC platforms, Origin and the EA Desktop app.
Can I upgrade to EA Play Pro?(1)
No, you can’t upgrade your complimentary EA Play subscription via Xbox Game Pass to EA Play Pro. However, you can purchase EA Play Pro through EA’s PC platforms, Origin and the EA Desktop app.
What’s the discount on EA digital content that Xbox Game Pass members receive?(1)
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members receive 10% off EA digital purchases (full games, DLC, and more) via the Microsoft Store and EA’s PC Desktop app. Xbox Game Pass for PC members receive a 10% discount on EA digital content through EA’s PC Desktop app. Additional Xbox Game Pass member discounts don’t apply to EA digital content.
How does the account migration work exactly?(1)
Starting in early November, we will move your EA Play account to Ultimate, making sure that, if you’re eligible, your remaining EA Play time is converted into Ultimate. During this process you might lose access to EA Play for a few days, but those days will be added to your Ultimate subscription once the process is finished.
What happens to my subscriptions if I already have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass for PC, and I purchased EA Play through Origin or EA’s PC Desktop app?(2)
Visit the EA Account settings portal to manage your PC EA Play (formerly known as Origin Access Basic) subscription. Your PC EA Play subscription through Origin or the EA Desktop app will not be automatically canceled, and any remaining time on your PC EA Play subscription will not be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass for PC time.
What happens if I have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but I only want EA Play?(3)
You can cancel your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription at any time and then sign up for EA Play on Xbox. To cancel your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, sign in to your Microsoft account. Under Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, select Payment & billing, and then Cancel. You’ll have an option to end your subscription on its expiration date. Depending on your subscription’s status, you may also have an option to end it immediately with a refund of the price you paid for Ultimate only.
Note The upgrade of any prepaid time can’t be reverted to Xbox Live Gold or other Xbox Game Pass subscriptions and is not eligible for refund.
Do family settings apply to EA Play?(2)
Family settings such as screen time limits, content filters, and adult purchase approval apply to Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and the Xbox app for Windows 10. Find the easiest way to set up and manage your family here:
If I have EA Play but want to join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, do I have to first cancel my EA Play subscription?(2)
EA Play members who join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will have their EA Play subscription on Xbox automatically canceled, and any remaining time will be rounded up and converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate based on the following table:

If you signed up for EA Play on PC via Origin or EA’s Desktop app, your subscription will not automatically convert to Xbox Game Pass. Visit the EA Account settings portal to manage your EA Play subscription purchased through Origin or the EA Desktop app.
Where can I find and download EA Play games?(2)
EA Play games are accessible for download within the Xbox Game Pass experience on your Xbox console and, when PC launches in December, within the Xbox Game Pass experience on the Xbox app for Windows 10 and on EA’s PC Desktop app.
Note To access EA Play content on your console, go to My games & apps > Full library > EA Play.
Can Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members still redeem EA Play codes on Xbox?(2)
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can redeem EA Play codes that will automatically convert and extend their Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription at a ratio based on the following table:
