Does pc still download when in sleep mode

Hello folks, I appreciate any help that can be offered on this topic so here's the deal I like many people want my PC to go to sleep when I intend to come back in a few hours or if I'm off doing something that comes up. In the mean while I might say download a game on Uplay right? Still following? Ok so my issue as the title suggest is that when my PC goes to sleep it completely ignores my downloading process on Uplay and goes to sleep therefore halting my download of a game until I next wake the PC up. Let's say I'm downloading a huge game like AC odyssey with all the DLC or Siege with the HD texture pack and I want to do so over night. If I were to leave the PC alone and go to sleep I hope that the download would continue until competition and the PC would go to sleep after. Unfortunately because the PC sleeps before the download is completed what ends up happening is that I go to sleep and soon after the PC does so too cutting the download short and when I wake the machine the next morning I'm like only 10% completed or something. I have average internet speeds by most US standards so a 80 gb game can take about 2 or more hours to download.

I've tried looking into the uplay settings and also the windows 10 power and sleep settings but all I'm capable of doing is setting sleep time or turning it off (I don't want to do that) in win 10. There's no setting to continue downloading in uplay and I think this is a uplay issue as when I download something on say steam it overrides my PC's sleep timer until the download is done. I want to know is there any way around this other than obviously making my sleep timer longer or turning it off. And if not can some one at least tell me why, like what is up with that?
