I moved my old PC to my studio and decided to try this little device. My old XP machine booted up correctly and recognized this device immediately. All I had to do was sign on to the network when the screen came up and I have internet about 60 feet away from my router with no wires! It may not be quite as fast as it was when it was wired to the router, but I do have good usable internet on my old machine. By the way, Lower Price USA was the vendor and the shipping was blazing fast. I couldn't be more pleased... Read more...

Great for Mac OS X lower than Yosemite
Good product combined with excellent service and post sales communications.Couple of issues related to the following;- Mac OS X 10.6.8 support is good and the device works well. However, it is worth turning the driver (standalone application that manages the dongle) completely off, even if the wifi has been deactivated in the system preferences panel, as there are some odd network issues and errors otherwise.- Mac OS X Yosemite is non-existent despite what the device description or the writing on the box says.Enjoy... This adaptor works for Macbook Pro OS 10.11 / El Capitan
Macbook Pro OS 10.11 / El CapitanIssue - WIFi: No Hardware installed errorLike many reviewers, this adaptor didn't work for me at first and the website only has drivers up to 10.8Solution Steps:1) Download latest driver from website (wont be able to install until below steps completed)2) Boot into Mac by pressing CMD + R (Recovery Mode)3) Got to Terminal under Utilities4) Type in csrutil disable. A comment will be displayed that your csrutil has been disabled5) Reboot6) Install the driver as usual and it will require a reboot again7) Then go to network preferences. Fill in the details (account and password) by selecting the adaptor name on the left panel. Save it and connectYou are done !*** I am no tech expert and do not know if disabling csrutil will cause any long term problems***If I am close to the router I will get 50% speed of an ethernet connection, 15 metres away I get about 10%.Still better than no internet at all or using a 30m long ethernet cable - BARGAIN at less than £10!Hope this helps... Mac OS El Capitan (10.11.X) DO NOT BUY - DOES NOT APPEAR TO WORK
Mac OS 10.11.X (El Capitan) users - SIMPLY DO NOT BUY.Spent way too much time messing around with this trying to get it to work. Bolse's website drivers for Mac OS only go up to OS v. 10.9 (and d/load drivers on that link unzip to a folder named 10.8). I couldn't source the Realtek drivers directly either (the chip used in this Bolse product). The small LED on the product didn't light either, perhaps faulty? (although the USB device shows in the System Report so is recognised in some fashion). The manual that comes with the product is geared almost entirely towards windows, less than 10 lines give any help on Mac OS. The manual from the Bolse website labels it as a PDF but downloads on the Mac as a PDF.html extension so won't open without modifying the file extension. This company does not appear to care much for Mac users. I'm returning the product, again, Mac users - my advice is looks elsewhere. The driver uninstall wasn't even clean. Terrible experience all round.... Read more...

Installs easily. It is well made
Bolse 300Mbps Wifi Wireless-N Adapter.pro: Installs easily. It is well made. Previous BOLSE products worked very well for me. I really wanted to give it a higher rating because the BOLSE people were very considerate.Against: Overheats. The first one i got was reaching 65-70 degree C after 20 minutes internet browsing and kept slowing down. Keep in mind I am currently using it in UK at 22 degree room temperature. The BOLSE customer service is pretty good and they volunteered to send me another one. The second one is definitely better. Its temperature normally does not get above 45 degree C. But it still tends to overheats (to 65-70 degree) if I use it continuously let say watch Dr Who on BBC.It is OK just avoid using it in any hot country.... Read more...

My computer's wifi card is broken so needed to find a new way to get wifi. This product is so way to use and it works great. There's a manual that tell you step by step what to do. And it comes WITH PICTURES. There's no way anyone can be confused about how to install out. Better yet, it works immediately. The installation process takes about 5 minutes and those no constant setup when I start my computer every morning. I just open it and voila, I have wifi.... Read more...

Great gadget for a better Wi-Fi connection
I had a lot of trouble in my house maintaining a Wi-Fi connection from my MacBook Pro (too many obstructing walls and interfering electronics). However, this little gadget has helped so much. Excellent product and outstanding product support from Bolse.
This is my second Bolse wireless adapter i have purchased in 4 months. The first installed easily on my laptop and works very well. The second wireless adapter had to be loaded via the Internet since the DVD Drive on my second laptop was disabled. I had some difficulty getting the software to load via the Internet (probably my fault) so called Bolse for help. The tech was OUTSTANDING! Very patient and very knowledgeable. He spent about 30 minutes with me, never got impatient and we got the software loaded. Can't say enough for Bolse and their support - first class product and product support.... Read more...

Worked well and consisently
It didn't install smoothly but it would have helped if I read the instructions. Once installed it worked very well and consistently. A little chunky than I thought it would be, overall I have to rate this highly as it worked very well no matter how many times I unplugged and replugged in the device or restarted the PC unlike some previous models I have used in the past.... Works great in a PowerPC Apple iBook G4
I bought this adaptor because it still has support for the order Apple Laptops. The iBook G4 has a common fault that results in Kernel Panics within a minute or so of switching on. I recently learned that disabling the internal Airport card solves this problem - and tried it. The iBook is now stable, but it now lacked Wifi. It's not easy to find a discrete external adaptor that still provides drivers for this older Apple laptop (Running Leopard), but the Bolse does.It does not achieve the claimed 300Mpbs - according to my Router it is connecting at 144 Mbit/s - This is plenty fast enough for my needs though, so I am still very pleased with the product.... WIFI - As simple as it gets - when it works
Very straightforward, easy installation via CD, for Windows XP. Plug and play for Win 7 and up. I used this to connect an old desktop to wifi, so I could move it to a room without a phone or ethernet jack. It worked as well as I'd hoped, and picked up the sIgnal easily. Clear interface. No need to have a wireless NIC card, this little adapter does it all.UPDATED 12/29/2014: I have upgraded my XP desktop to Windows 8.1, and this adapter still works, with zero problems. Fast, seamless wifi connection. Very impressed.UPDATED 8/22/2015: dropping from 5 stars to 2. Great little adapter, until it completely dies 8 months later. You get what you pay for. Unfortunately, I am without internet for online classes until I can get another one.... Read more...

Works very well and is un intrusive on your computer. I had a problem installing it initially on my new Mac that was due to a security setting on the Mac not accepting software from third parties other than from the app store. Once I'd sussed this it was easy. Plugged it in. Worked for two minutes then stopped working completely. Tried installing software and drivers via disc provided, didn't work. The software on the CD wasn't even Bolse software. Don't understand what happened. Tried all evening to get it to work and failed. Didn't work on other computers in the house, either. So went and bought a different one. Disappointed.... Read more...

Tiny adapter receives big signal
This tiny wifi adapter works great on my Raspberry Pi and on my Linux Mint laptop. I was a little hesitant to purchase because other adapters were recommended to work with my RPi, but I liked the slightly bigger antenna on the Bolse. And it turned out to be a great buy.The antenna on these micro adapters really limit the distance. I have 2 other tiny adapters and as soon as I move between floors I get a very weak and sporadic signal. But not with this adapter, I can go on opposite sides of the house, 3 levels apart and still get a good signal with this device.... Read more...
