So far, it seems to be work great. I bought this GPU as a replacement for my ASUS GTX 580, which was frequently crashing (freezing-up) my computer (Windows 7 Ultimate OS/Intel CPU i7-2600K/ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/GEN3 MOBO). For anyone considering buying the ASUS GTX 660, I recommend downloading & installing the video card drivers (for the GPU) from NVidia’s web site--because the drivers on the CD seem to be “dated.”

On the other hand, the programs on the product CD (ASUS GPU Tweak and ASUS GPU Tweak Streaming) seemed to be “unstable” and in need of software refinement. However, ASUS GPU-Z (a sub-feature program) seemed to work fine but, unfortunately, it is connected to ASUS GPU Tweak…which for me makes it unusable. Also, I ended-up having to do a “Windows Restore” several times in order to figure-out that I should only install the GPU drivers (from NVidia’s web site) and nothing else.

In addition to the aforementioned, ASUS Smart Doctor isn’t working properly (anymore) after I initially installed the new GPU with ASUS drivers. Now, after my computer boots-up, I am getting an erroneous error message which says “Error: Cannot find ASUS graphics card.” So, my solution is to just click on the “OK” button and the error message goes away.

Maybe, ASUS Smart Doctor is looking for the former ASUS GTX 580 GPU? At this point in time, it seems like neither ASUS nor NVidia have provided a downloadable solution (regarding the error message) at their web sites…but, based upon various Internet blogs that I’ve read, they seem to be aware of the issue(s).

Other than that, the GPU (ASUS GTX 660) works flawlessly and quietly.
